About Us

Living Energy Systems is a small, family-run company based in Devon. Under our argentum plus brand, we have been providing innovative, all-natural skin care since 1998. Our products combine silver, which has natural antimicrobial properties, with MSM, a bio-available form of sulphur that promotes healing. To this day, we continue to operate independently, perfecting and overseeing the production of every product in-house.

When we first started out more than 25 years ago, we were the first UK company to offer a standardized colloidal silver product. Requests from our customers inspired us to move into producing natural skin care, beginning with our original Silver-MSM Cream. Since then, we have continued to create products to meet the needs of our customers, friends and family, aiming to provide effective natural solutions to a range of skin conditions. 

Silver sits at the heart of what we do. With its powerful antimicrobial properties, its potential for application in natural skin care is immense. Although we started off specialising in colloidal silver, we have since switched to using MicroSilverTM to manufacture all our skincare products. This means we can ensure that our products have a quantifiable silver content. MicroSilverTM is a pure silver microparticulate, produced via a patented process under laboratory conditions, and has been certified as being both effective and safe for long-term use. On the skin, it releases silver ions for up to 12 hours, providing longer-lasting antimicrobial protection. By contrast, colloidal silver only remains active on the skin for a short period of time, making it less suitable for leave-on products.

Our products are unique in combining MicroSilverTM with MSM (methyl sulphonyl methane) - a potent pairing which we have found to be helpful in managing a number of skin conditions. MSM is an organic sulphur compound and a key skin nutrient. As an important component of collagen, it improves cell structure and flexibility, supporting overall skin health and promoting healing. We use only the highest quality steam-distilled MSM, sourced from tree bark and manufactured in the USA to an exceptional level of purity.
